Chris Miles

Principal / Financial Planner

Chris has worked in the financial services industry since 1996. His professional experience is varied and includes a number of different roles in real estate, property development, banking and financial planning, spanning business banking, consumer lending and securities. No stranger to business, Chris has also owned a financial planning practice in partnership with a local accountant.

Nic Basham

Principal / Financial Planner

Nic has 24 years financial advice industry experience, starting off as a licensed planner in the Yeppoon branch of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. Quickly gaining experience, Nic’s career grew as he climbed the ranks to Senior Financial Planning Manager at the NAB Business Banking Branch in Cairns.

Bec Miles

Office Manager / CSM

Having worked as a client services manager at AMP for over a decade, Bec joined the Empower team in early 2021 to support Chris and Nic with client work. Assisting people reach their financial goals is where Bec gains her job satisfaction.

Naomi Taylor

Financial Planner

Naomi started with Empower right at the beginning. She was crucial in getting us up and running. With 20 years in the Financial Services Industry she specialises in superannuation, wealth protection and managing life transitions.
Naomi prides herself on high standards of professionalism and personal service. She believes that everyone’s situation is unique and can personalise tailored advice for all life stages. She genuinely believes in going the extra mile for our clients!
Away from the business Naomi enjoys spending quality time with her husband and five children. Together they love camping and exploring the beautiful scenery nature has to offer.
Naomi holds a diploma of Financial Planning and has been an active member of AFA – Association of Financial Planners.
